Rate of Pay: Commensurate with education and experience.
Reporting to the President & CEO of SGT, the Executive Director provides strategic and operational leadership for SGT’s independent living housing portfolio. The position is accountable for occupancy, tenant satisfaction, revenue performance, asset optimization and long-term portfolio sustainability. The Executive Director leads leasing and marketing strategy, rental rate and market analysis, tenant attraction and retention, property improvements and capital planning. The position also identifies and evaluates opportunities for acquisitions, redevelopment, renovations, new construction and other portfolio growth opportunities. The Executive Director provides leadership to Leasing Manager(s) and other housing-related staff and ensures housing operations align with SGT’s Mission, strategic priorities and financial objectives.
Consider applying if you have a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Property Management, Finance, Human Services or a related discipline, along with a minimum of ten (10) years of progressive leadership experience in property management, seniors housing, residential real estate, asset management, development or a related field. You bring demonstrated experience leading multi-site housing or property operations, with expertise in leasing, occupancy and revenue generation, market analysis, capital planning, renovations and asset optimization. Experience with acquisitions, redevelopment or new construction is strongly preferred, while experience in seniors housing, retirement living or social housing and knowledge of the Edmonton and Calgary housing markets are considered assets. You are a strategic and financially astute leader with strong analytical, business development, communication and team leadership skills.
