Our Goal

Shepherd’s Care Foundation is a faith-based, not-for-profit organization providing quality care and accommodations to more than 1,800 seniors throughout Edmonton and Barrhead. Our seven campuses provide living options for a full spectrum of care, including independent living, supportive living, supportive living with dementia, long-term care and complex care.

At Shepherd’s Care, we strive to be person centered in everything that we do. Person Centered Care is about choice, building relationships, and creating a home for our seniors. Giving our residents choice and flexibility in all aspects of daily living including meals, personal care, medications, and recreation options is a critical part of fulfilling our care and service mission.

 

Our Philosophy: Person Centred Care

At Shepherd’s Care Foundation, we take a person centred holistic approach to the health and wellbeing of our residents.

  • Physical Care – our integrated medical care teams include medical professionals, physiotherapists, pharmacy, and occupational therapy
  • Emotional Care – our registered recreation therapists and social workers are on hand to ensure each day at Shepherd’s Care is full of joy and belonging
  • Spiritual Care – we have a full time pastoral care team to help our residents deepen and explore their faith
